When you recall a specific event from your past and experience familiar intense feelings, you are activating the stuck energy in your system that triggers those feelings. When you tap on those specific events the stuck energy is released and you experience rapid and permanent relief. Subsequent recalling of the same event will not trigger an emotional response, and frequently your perception of the event will also have changed.

Often, no matter how deep or justified the hurt felt prior to applying EFT, you will perceive it as no big deal, or perhaps you will see it as an important event that has helped to shape your character.
