The Market Place
You are walking through an unfamiliar town, delighting in the sights that you see. The air is cold, but you are wrapped up warm; your cheeks are rosy red and you feel alive. You're walking briskly and enjoying the crisp, cool air in your lungs. You enter an older quarter of town where the fine architecture is simply magnificent. Soon you find yourself wandering into a bustling market place with stalls lining every spare inch of ground. There are exotic scents of foods and perfumes teasing your nostrils, and each stall is fully laden with colorful wares. The hawkers are each competing with their jovial banter and you stop and listen at a stall carrying some of your favorite things. A particular item catches your eye, and you reach into your pocket to find a crisp $50 bill you had not realized was there. You buy the item and pocket the change.
Strolling through the market place, you notice a cafe; you enter and are seated by the window where you can watch the hustle and bustle. You take off your warm winter coat and gloves and settle down to read the menu, while the waiter who seated you heads off to get your favorite hot drink. The menu is filled with exotic dishes, many of which you've heard of but never tried. You are feeling extravagant so you order the most expensive, exotic dish you can find. As you look around the room with a grin on your face you are rewarded with beaming smiles from all those who catch your eye. You sip your drink, holding the cup in both hands and savoring the taste. The waiter returns with your meal on a silver platter. He whips off the cover and your eyes devour the colorful array of delights on your plate. You eat your meal slowly, savoring every mouthful. The ingredients are so fresh, and the chef has cooked and arranged them to perfection. Your senses are in rapture with each and every bite.
When you've finished the fine food, the waiter clears your table and brings the check. You reach into your pocket and discover another $50 bill, which you leave on the table as payment for your meal, with a healthy tip. You wrap up warm again and head outside, back into the bustling market. Each stall at which you stop to make a purchase seems always to have at least one thing you really want. Each time you reach into the same pocket you find another $50 bill and you feel great abundance. You finally head for home, carrying your purchases with you along with your abundant feelings.
