Book of Positive Aspects
The Book of Positive Aspects is a process described by Abraham-Hicks (external link) in their magnificent book Ask and It Is Given: Learning to Manifest Your Desires. For those of you who already own a copy of this book, their full description of the process is on pages 199—205. Be sure to check out my review of this book.
For those of you who do not yet own the book, here is a summary of the process. Abraham-Hicks advocates buying a physical notebook in which to write your Book of Positive Aspects, while I prefer to use a computer.
The Book of Positive Aspects Process
The purpose of the Book of Positive Aspects process is to raise your vibration through appreciation. The easiest way to do this process is to pick a person, place, object, or situation that you find easy to appreciate and write down the positive aspects of your chosen subject.
A more challenging process is to take a person, situation, place or object that you have a hard time appreciating and selectively sift your experience, documenting only those aspects of your chosen subject that are pleasing to you. While this is a challenge for many of us because we are used to complaining about things we do not like, the benefits of applying this process outweigh the initial discomfort we might feel:
- We experience an upward shift in our vibration towards our chosen subject. As we consciously sift for positive aspects, our attitude towards this subject improves.
- As our attitude towards our chosen subject improves, so does our experience of that subject. Law of Attraction will line us up with experiences that match our current vibration, so if our chosen subject was a person, for example, that person would begin to show to us more of the positive attributes to which we have given our focus.
- Because we live in a vibrational universe, we will be attractive to other people, places, situations and objects that match our new vibrational set point. The quality of our experience will improve on many levels.
