Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

D-Y
Does it matter whether I tap all the points?

EFT is a very forgiving process. If you miss a point, or a particular point is hard to reach or painful to tap, then you will usually get the result you desire without tapping on each and every point.

In order to make EFT an easy to learn process there is built-in redundancy. It would be more difficult and time-consuming to determine which particular energy meridian is blocked than to just tap every point for each problem. After all, a complete round of EFT can be accomplished in just a couple of minutes or less.

Isn’t this just another name for counseling?

Not at all. The Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is an energy therapy, which removes blockages in the body’s energy system. Once the energy blockage is released, the negative emotion quickly ebbs away and does not return.

You've taught me how to perform EFT on myself; what additional benefit is there in booking a session with you?

There are a number of reasons why working with an experienced EFT Practitioner like me will net quicker results than trying to sort things out by yourself:

  1. Learning the mechanical steps to apply EFT to yourself is an easy and essential first step. Where most people stumble, however, is in picking the right things to tap on that will free the stuck energy. I can help you quickly hone in on the crux of the problem and guide you safely to the swift release of that stuck energy
  2. EFT is an energy therapy. When you combine the energy of two people (or more in the case of group sessions) with a common intention to guide you to relief then the results are greater than can be achieved alone. It is very common to experience a huge sensation of relief during and after an EFT session.
  3. Saying your problem out loud to another person often gives you additional insight that you could not see when it was rattling around inside your own head. I am very good at posing questions that guide you to new insight as well.
  4. When you are experiencing negative emotion it is easy to become self-critical, which leads to abandonment of the process and a resignation to being stuck with the problem. I guide you through the process non-judgmentally and encourage you to connect with the relief that you seek.
